Carl William WOLGAMOTT was the second son born to Guy John Wolgamott and Lulu Edith Stratton. Carl was born August 27, 1899 in Baldwin, Lake County, Michigan.
Carl married Letizia (Lettie) SENO in 1920 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan. In 1921 their first son, Guy Angelo Wolgamott was born in Baldwin, Lake County, Michigan. Their second son, Carl William (Red), Jr. was born in 1924 in Baldwin, Lake County, Michigan. In 1946 their third son, Charles Willard, was born in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
World War II delivered a blow to the WOLGAMOTT family, bringing news of the death of son Guy A. Son Carl (Red) also served in this war, and was delivered home safely.
Carl was a member of Masonic Lodge #545 in Baldwin, Michigan. He also served his community as Pleasant Plains Township Supervisor for 25 years and was the caretaker for the Pleasant Plains Cemetery for many years as well. Carl was baptised May 18th, 1960 at the Baldwin Congregational Church.
At the time of his death Carl was survived by his wife Lettie of Baldwin, sons, Carl of Chicago and Charles of Baldwin, a sister Irene Alderson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, grandchildren Linda WOLGAMOTT, Guy WOLGAMOTT, Mark WOLGAMOTT, and Brian WOLGAMOTT, as well as one great grandchild Elisa EARMAN.
Rosary Scripture was read by Father Ray BRUCK on June 25 at the funeral home.
On June 26 Funeral services from Guy R. HUNT Funeral Home and officiating Lodge of the Lakes 545 F. & A.M. took place.
Interment: Pleasant Plains Township Cemetery.
