HARRIET W. (FRICK) NOBLE
Harriet was the daughter of Nancy (Wilson) & Frederick Frick. She was born in Pennsylvania and migrated to Mercer County sometime in the 1840's.

NOTE: Her daughter Adella's death record gives her mother's name as Harriet Nilson & son James gives her maiden name as Wilson, but her other children's record, as well as bio in Page County History for son-in-law Cyrus Orth, all give Frick as her maiden name.

On March 26, 1849 Harriet married James A. Noble. To this union was born seven children; Alice F, Kate Agnes, Ida Juanita, Hattie Nora, James L, Mary Adella, & Harry Fredy. Alice died in 1856 at the age of 3 and Harry died at a young age as well.

Harriet's Husband James was a very prominent business man in Keithsburg for many years before his death in 1862. At the time of his death their youngest daughter Mary Adella was about one year old.

In the 1870 Harriet is living in Keithsburg with her children; Harriet Noble age 38, Head, widowed; Kate A Noble 19, Ida J Noble 17, Hattie Noble 14, James L Noble 11 & Mary A Noble 9.

In 1873 daughter Ida married Cyrus Orth and moved to Page County, Iowa. They had one daughter; Hattie.

The rest of the family is still together in the 1880 census; Harriet Noble 49, Head, widowed, keeping house; children Katie Noble 28, single, Post Mistress; Hattie Noble 23, single, Milliner. Both James Noble age 20 & Della Noble age 19 are listed as single at home, no occupation.

About 1892 son James married Lollie B. Eddington and they had one daughter; Genevive. James followed in his father's footsteps and became a well known and respected business man in Keithsburg as well as their mayor.

Harriet died in 1906 and is buried in a family plot in Keithsburg with her husband and children; Alice, Harry, Kate, Hattie and M. Adella.
