Alta L. Kehoe, 65, of Springer, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2005, in Raton. She was born April 4, 1940, in Raton, the daughter of Carl and Lorene Steele-Hennigan. She was a Kerny Entrada and a Drum Majorette in high school.

Alta was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Lorene Hennigan and brothers, Jim Hennigan and Norman Hennigan.

She is survived by three sons, Jerry Don Kehoe and wife Melody of Taos, Johnny Mac Kehoe of Las Cruces, and Jimmy Lee Kehoe of Alamogordo; one sister, Mary Gayle Baker and husband Bill of Hereford, Texas. Also surviving are three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 23, at 1 p.m. in the Hennigan Cemetery at Laughlin Peak, N.M.

Individuals attending the service are asked to meet at 11 a.m. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home and follow the family to the Hennigan Cemetery. A potluck picnic will follow the service on the mountain.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the local humane society would be wonderful.
