Katie Lillian Ritter daughter of the late Julie Gamblin Harris and Everett Harris was born at Naylor, Missouri, on May 8, 1940. She departed this life at Advanced Healthcare Medical Center in Ellington, Missouri, on May 22, 2009, having attained the age of 69 years and 14 days.
On August 2, 1968 in Belleville, Illinois, Katie was united in marriage to Wilburn Ritter and to this loving union five children were born. Katie loved to quilt, work puzzles, read and play games.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Julie Harris, and daughter, Sandra Ritter.
Katie is survived by her husband, Wilburn Ritter of Ellington, Missouri, three sons, Glenn Ritter and wife Kim of Bunker, Missouri, Joe Ritter and wife Lisa of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Steven Ritter and wife Amanda of Monroe, Ohio, one daughter, Debbie Gilleland and husband Leon of Alvaton, Kentucky, three sisters, Helen Harris of St. Peters, Missouri, Lee Wedemeir of St. Peters, Missouri, Vera Simpson of Hazelwood, Missouri, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Katie will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Visitation: Sunday 5 to 8 P.M.
