Mrs. J. B. Haynes, 76, wife of the president of the Haynes Advertising company, died at 1:10 a.m. today at her home, 832 South Twenty-ninth Street. The former Katie Strickland, she was born in Omaha, daughter of the late civil war general, Silas A. Strickland, who was a pioneer settler of Bellevue. She had lived in Omaha all her life.
Mrs. Haynes had been in failing health four years, in serious condition the last month.
Mr. and Mrs. Haynes were married in Omaha 54 years ago. They have a son, J. Wilbur Haynes, secretary of the advertising company. Mrs. J. Wilbur Haynes is a mathematics teacher at North High School.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Fitch, McEachron & Cole mortuary with Dr. E. E. Hosman in charge. Burial will be in Prospect Hill cemetery.
