James L. Williams, age 81 of Marinette, Wisconsin, passed away October 10, 2009 at his home. Born August 6, 1928 in Marinette to Andrew and Gladys (Boucher) Williams.

He spent his early life in Menominee, attending local schools and participating in gymnastic shows.

He married the former Margaret "Marge" Larson of Marinette on May 15, 1948 and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. They resided in Chicago, IL and Winona, MN for a number of years before returning to the Marinette area 20 years ago. He owned a construction and manufacturing business and operated a ceramic tile business with his son after returning to Marinette. He enjoyed hunting, swimming, fishing and bowling. An avid golfer, he was a member of Little River Country Club and made a hole-in-one in 2006.

Surviving are his wife Marge;
four children: Linda Williams of Great Falls, Montana; Debbie (Gary) Fazekas of Marinette, WI; Leah Williams of Waukegan, IL and James M. (Cheri) Williams of Marinette;
5 grandchildren;
one great-granddaughter;
a sister Carol Jensen
and brother Jerry (Judy) Williams, both of Marinette.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jack and sister Joan.
