Tommy was a native of Guilford County, a WWII Navy Veteran, serving in the Seabees from 1944 to 1948. He retired from Ramtex, and attended Mt. Olivet Wesleyan Church in Liberty. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Cox Coward, and parents, Ernest and Esther York Coward.
