Ronald William Deen, 38, West Burlington Route 4, was killed at 1:33 a.m. Saturday, June 9, in an auto accident one mile east of MacArthur bridge near Gulfport, Illinois. He was born August 27, 1934, in Sperry, the son of Sylvas Martin and Annabelle Miller Deen.

He married Janice Fullenkamp November 17, 1954, in Burlington. She was seriously injured in the accident. Deen was a member of St. Paul Catholic church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Surviving: The wife; four sons, Gary, Ronald Martin, Dwayne, and Allen, and two daughters, Vickie and Joni, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Annabelle Deen.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Prugh's Chapel, Fr. James Quinlan; Aspen Grove cemetery. Rosary: 7:30 Monday, Prugh's Chapel. A memorial has been established.
