OBITUARY OF CHARLES H. LEAVITT

DECEMBER 3, 1925
Charles H. Leavitt was born in the state of Maine, July 14, 1825?. When a boy of ten he came to Wisconsin with his parents where he resided until death claimed him Nov. 23, 1925, being seventy- two years old. (Probably a typo, his death records at Graceland Cemetery, states 1852, JZ)
He is survived by four sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Laura Ferrell of Mineral Point, Mrs. Morris Van Matre of Lewiston, Cal., Mrs. Charles Ladd of Chicago, Ill., George Leavitt of San Francisco, Cody William Leavitt of Weaverville, Cal., and Mrs. Sam Ferrell of Mineral Point.
Funeral services were held from the home of his sister, Mrs. Sam Ferrell, Wednesday, Nov. 25. Rev. W.H. Penn, Pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery ( Probably meant Graceland Cemetery).
