Dorothy Hunt was the first wife of E. Howard Hunt, a major figure in the Watergate scandal of 1972 that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. After World War II, she joined the Central Intelligence Agency. After marrying Hunt, she accompanied him on his lengthy career with the Central Intelligence Agency, mostly in Latin America. After Hunt's retirement they lived in the Washington, DC area. They had four children. She died in a United Airlines plane crash at Chicago's Midway Airport in 1972.
