With that role, the shy, dark-hair beauty's acting career began. The same year, she was selected as one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars, along with future Hollywood legend Ginger Rogers and Gloria Stuart. She made 20 films between 1932 and 1937. She had an uncredited role in the 1943 film "Whistling in Brooklyn." In 1936, she married Oscar recipient writer and director Lewis Foster. The couple had two children before her husband's death in 1974. She remained a widow until her death.
