Jerra Jeanine Kirby, 12, daughter of Stormetta and Jerry Kirby, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005 at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Jerra, a native of Isle of Wight County (Zuni), Va., resided in Newport News and attended Hines Middle School. Jerra is survived by her mother and father; five siblings, Domenico Jones, Jamilla Kirby, Deran and Darius Bragg and Jercoby Kirby; maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Joyner; maternal great grandmother, Evelyn Joyner Warren; paternal grandmother, Olivia Kirby; aunts, uncles and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at First Church Ministries (Dunamis Christian Center), 6148 Jefferson Ave., Newport News. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Zuni. Viewing will be held from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour before the funeral Wednesday at the church. Pretlow & Chapman Funeral Home, Smithfield, James B. Chapman, director, is providing service to the Kirby family.
