Professional Football Player. Born Hezekiah Ezekial Braxton, III, he attended Frederick Douglass High School in Maryland and played collegiate football at Virginia Union University. Prior to beginning college, he served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. While with the Panthers, he achieved greatness (at the fullback position) as he earned All-CIAA honors three-times and led his squad in with 637 rushing yards in 1959. Selected by the San Diego Chargers of the then-American Football League during the 1961 AFL Draft, he joined and complimented a backfield which included fullback Bobby Jackson and Pro-Bowl halfback Keith Lincoln, under the guidance of Hall of Fame coach Sid Gillman. He moved onto the Buffalo Bills where he provided depth on their offense. He is a member of the Virginia Union University Hall of Fame.
