George was born November 26th, 1939, in Moira, NY, the son Albert and Kathryn Pierce Allen. He attended schools in Albany. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1955 where he served until 1957. He then enlisted in the United States Navy where he served until he retired in 1978 at the rank of Petty Officer First Class.
After his Navy retirement Mr. Allen worked in Charleston, SC, before moving to Clayton in 1984. George worked at Clayton Marina as a forklift operator until 1992 where he then became a truck driver for Ikon Office Solutions, retiring in 2003.
He married the former Elizabeth Mulyca on December 20, 1975. A previous marriage ended in divorce.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Deborah Karrick of Charleston, SC, Tina Randle of Clayton and Tracie Heise of Rochester; one son Richard Badi of Clayton; six grandchildren, Shalee Karrick of Charleston, SC, Jill Randle of Watertown, Wyatt and Dillon Badi both of Clayton, Peyton Elizabeth and Nathan Heise of Rochester; nieces and nephews.
Two brothers and one sister died before him.
