William H. Ingalls, 69, died suddenly at his home, 17 State street, on Sunday. He was born in Marblehead, the son of William H. and Eliza (Bessom) Ingalls, and had been employed for over 30 years as an engineer of the Water department; he was stationed at the Marblehead Pumping Station.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ada Bartlett and Mrs. Emily Chapman, six nephews and four nieces. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Nichols funeral home by the Rev. Thomas M. Mark, pastor of the Unitarian church. Burial was at Waterside Cemetery.
