Rev. Giovanni "John" Battista Giambruno was born Monreale and immigrated to America in 1883. He was the 1st husband of Elizabeth E. (Maggio) Giambruno Kniss. They were married about 1885 and she died June 24, 1948. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Louisiana Conference 1890 F 1894 Cincinnati Conference by transfer 1895 Genesee (now Western New York) Conference by transfer 1896. He served Buffalo: Italian Mission, Buffalo District, Erie Co., New York 1896-1902. In 1896 he lived 66 Ohio Street, 1897-1899 lived 342 Division Street, 1900-1902 lived 54 Carroll Street. In 1902 he withdrew to enter the Presbyterian ministry.
