In the town of Hornellsville, N. Y., Sept. 7th, 1877, David Satterlee, aged 91 years and about 5 months.
Uncle David, as he was usually called was the oldest son of the late Eld. Wm. Satterlee, of Berlin. He came to this country nearly seventy years ago, and has owned several farms in Allegany, and finally settled on the farm where he died.
His funeral services were held at the 2d Alfred Church, First-day, Sept. 9th, when an appropriate sermon was preached by Rev. Pres. J. Allen, from the words in Job 5: 26, "Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like a shock of corn cometh in in his season."
