(Following military service not confirmed) Lorenzo Johnson was 18 years old when he enlisted as a private at Chateaugay, New York, on November 1, 1861. Private Johnson was mustered into Company A, 96th New York Infantry, on November 28, 1861. He was discharged for disability at New Bern, North Carolina, on February 28, 1863.
