Doris Strand of Prescott died Friday, June 12, 1998, at the St. Croix Care Center in Prescott. She was 78.
She was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Cohasset, Minn. She later lived in Grand Rapids, Minn., the Twin Cities and Red Wing.
She married Clayton Strand on July 9, 1975, in Red Wing. They moved to Prescott in 1978.
She enjoyed sewing, plants and flowers.
She is survived by: her husband, Clayton; four sons, Anthony and Becky of Grand Rapids, Jimmy and Elaine of Hibbing, Minn., Ronald and Arlene of St. Cloud, Minn., and David and Charlene of Frontenac, Minn.; two daughters, Barbara and Robert Rajala of Chisholm, Minn., and Beverly and Kenneth Dunker of Henning, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Anthony Bertram; one son in infancy; two grandsons; and one granddaughter.
Funeral was to be Tuesday, June 16, at the Nelson-Murphy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Stannard officiating. Interment was to be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Anthony Bertram, Jimmy Bertram, Ronald Bertram, David Bertram, Robert Rajala and Kenneth Dunker.
Nelson-Murphy Funeral Home provided arrangements.
