Otis D. Holt, 81, Dayton, died Aug. 7, 1976 in McMinnville.
Mr. Holt was born May 18, 1895 at Marshall, Okla., the son of Quiller and Lillie Holt. He grew up in Oklahoma and worked as a cowboy in Oklahoma and Northern Texas. In 1917 he entered the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1918.
He married Leota Madge Helmick in Oklahoma on Oct. 1, 1919. They moved to Dayton in 1961.
Mr. Holt was a member of American Legion Post 69 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Leota of Dayton; sons, Edgar J. of West Covina, Calif., Quiller N. of Garden Grove, Calif., and Otis D. Jr. of Covina Calif.; daughter, Maurine King of Balwin Park, Calif.; sister, Eunice Shoemaker of Balwin Park; 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
