She was born March 13, 1920, in Norwalk, to William E. and Anna E. (Ironmonger) Von Seggern, and was a lifelong area resident.
Helen was a member of Norwalk First United Methodist Church for over 70 years. She was also a member and past Worthy Matron of Queen Esther Chapter 15 Order of Eastern Star, Norwalk, the Satellite OES Group, and the Child Study Club. Helen was a former Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, knitting, crocheting, and bowling.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy K. Emmons of Norwalk, Nancy A. Eidson of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Laura L. Frisbee of Sandusky; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Avery in 2013, brothers, George and William Edward Von Seggern; and by her sisters, Alice Hoelzer, Thelma Kelley, Aura Griggs, and Laura Saunders.
Friends may call 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, until the time of services at 11 a.m., at Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 W. Main St., Norwalk. Rev. Brian Oglesbee will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Norwalk First United Methodist Church.
