BARBER, ERNEST HARTLEY passed into eternity 12/12/04 from causes incident to age, 86.

b. 25 June,1918 in New Orleans, LA to Ernest R. & Juanita H. Barber & spent 75 years of his life in New Orleans.

Ernie was an active choir member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Veteran, WWII Pacific Theatre, malaria control; worked in family business, Barber Labs Pest Control,

Married Persis M. Johns, 3 children; divorced 1960.

Moved to Allen TX in the early 90s to live near his daughter, Gail B. Rugg, husband, John & their family. Ernie attended the Allen Episcopal Church and loved to see neighbors as he shopped at Winn-Dixie.

In November of 1998 he married Alberta M. Hamilton of Dallas. Ernie will lovingly be remembered for his kind words to us & his tender love for animals. As he worked in his garden he praised the good Lord for the sunshine & the rain.

Survived by his wife, Alberta, 3 daughters: Joy Bernard(Holden,LA),Gail Rugg(Provo,UT) & Linda Auld(N.O.), 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 17 @ 10:30. Ridgeview Memorial Park
