Harry Goodmaster, 88, of Huntington Rd., New Haven, died suddenly at his home, Wednesday (December 10, 2003). He was the husband of the late Mary Esposito Goodmaster. He was born in New Haven, Oct. 17, 1915, the son of the late Vincent and Filomena Ferraiola Goodmaster and owned and operated the Harry Goodmaster and Son Scrap Metal Co. for over 60 years, up to the time of his death. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Arline) Torello of Hamden; a son, Larry (Kathy) Goodmaster of North Branford; a dear friend, Gloria Chieppo of North Branford; a sister, Alice Goodmaster of New Haven; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael and Allison Goodmaster and Peter (Michele) Brian and Kristen Torello. He was pre deceased by sisters, Lena and Josephine Goodmaster and brothers, Frank, Ernest and Alfred Goodmaster. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Bernadette's Church Saturday, at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial and may call TODAY, 4-8 p.m. at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden.
