Betty S. Butcher, age 71, a resident of the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center of Phelps, Ky., and formerly of Newtown, WV., departed this life on September 1, 2013, at the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center of Phelps, KY.
Betty was born November 10, 1941, in Red Jacket, WV., a daughter of the late Ivan Sr. and Fannie Hinkle Meade.
In addition to being a mother, sister, grandmother, friend and neighbor, Betty was a homemaker and was of the Holliness faith.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph Butcher, brothers, Ivan Meade, Jr.., Clarence Meade, Ronald Meade, Hershel Meade, sister, Ellen Meade Bryant, daughter, Sherry Butcher, grandsons, Jody Dale Butcher and Christopher Shane Butcher.
Honoring services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Chambers Funeral Services Chapel, with her Grandson Jesse Butcher officiating. Burial will follow at the Ellison Hatfield Cemetery.
