Euel M. Fox, 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 25, 2013.
He was born on November 6, 1921 in Murray County, Tennessee, the eldest son of James Earl Fox and Nila Dell Warf Fox.
Euel graduated from Victoria, VA High School before continuing his education at Trevecca Nazarene College where he met his wife, Dorothy Ling Fox. After pastoring for several years, he attended and graduated from the Nazarene Theological Seminary, Kansas City, MO. Rev. Fox served faithfully as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene for over 40 years, pastoring churches in Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia and Delaware. He also served in a number of different district capacities over his time in ministry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Nila Fox, his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Ruth Ling Fox, and his brother John Earl Fox.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Kenneth Ray and Linda Fox of Mt. Juliet, TN, Sandra and Willie Tyree of Jonesborough, TN, and Timothy and Robin Fox of Raleigh, NC, his grandchildren Carol Lynn Fox Barnes, Kenneth Fox, Jr. and wife Rachel, Steven Fox and wife Carrie, Jonathon Shearer and wife Melodie, Jennifer Shearer, Janelle McKissick and husband Chris, Timothy Fox, Jr. and wife Anita, David Fox and wife Denielle and Joshua Fox, along with 14 great-grandchildren and a sister Alma Sherrill of Raleigh, NC.
During his ministry Rev. Fox was widely respected by his peers, his congregations and his community, leaving an impact for generations to come. Even in his later years, Rev. Fox continued to touch the lives of those around him with his sweet spirit in the midst of tough circumstances, amazing his caregivers with his grasp and use of current technology.
