Massena—James F. Macauley, 77, of Baldwin Ave passed away peacefully Friday (August 30, 2013) evening at his home surrounded by his family and hospice.

A prayer service for Jim will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday (September 6, 2013) at Phillips Memorial Home Massena, with Rev. Scott D. Fobare officiating.

Burial will take place, following services in Calvary Cemetery.

James Graduated from Massena Central and enlisted in the services shortly after. He served proudly for the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was Honorably Discharged returning home to Massena where he began working for General Motors as a painter. Jim was a very talented artist that enjoyed painting. Jim also had a couple of painting shops around the village where he fabricated and designed signs for the local community. James is survived by his son Michael and wife Wanda Macauley of Louisville. A sister Dawna Lee and husband James Shepard of Corona, CA. He is also Survived by his Step-children Mark and Michele Cesar of Clarence, NY; Fred Dillabough of Massena, step-grandchildren; Danny, Lori, Amy, Alex and Chyenne. Also surviving James are his fury grandchildren; Gradie, Gracie, Graicen and Dannieboy all beautiful Golden Retrievers and his beloved dog Misty. Jim was predeceased by his wife Marlene on November 21, 2008. His parents, Joseph and Freida Macauley and a brother Edward Macauley.
