Mrs. Hill was born in Gaines Township, Swartz. September 23, 1912 the daughter of Curtis C. and Vernie (Herick) Woods and had resided in Duran the last 11 years and then Swartz Creek.
She married George B. Hill in Durand, March 27, 1941, he preceded her in death February 28, 1982. She was employed by
the Durand Hospital, Durand Convalescent Center and Durand Area Schools as a cook.
Surviving are 2 daughter, Mrs. James (Verna) Schott of Durand and Mrs, Jerry Widener of Durand; 2 Step-daughters, Virginia Hill of Flint and Marjorie Woods of Swartz Creek, 7 grandchildren, 4 sisters, Helen Drury of Durand, Nina Warren of Flint, Bessie Acre of Elsie and Bessie.
