Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bellows Funeral Home, Durand, Rev. Robert Daughenbaugh and Rev. James Martin officiating.
Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Mr. Hill will rest at Bellows Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. Family request memorials to Congregational Church and Free Methodist Church of Durand.
Mr. Hill was born in Union City, Mich., September 30, 1890, the son of Ralph and Ella Hill and had resided in Durand since 1915.
Mr. Hill was married to Ines Reed, October 4, 1916, a farm in Durand, She died December 1, 1939. He then married Florence Woods, March 27, 27, 1941 in Durand.
He was a member of the Congregational Church of Durand and worked as a farmer, retiring in 1955. He then worked as a custodian at the Robert Kerr School for 5 years in Durand.
Surviving are: wife, Florence; daughters, Virginia Hill of Flint, Mrs Harry(Marjorie)Woods of Swartz Creek, Mrs James (Verna) Schott of Durand and Mrs. Jerry (Georgia) Widner of Durand; 7 grandchildren; sister-in-law, of Richmond, Va. He was preceded in death by a son, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
