FRANK BOYLES WAS BUILDER OF TRAIN STATION

Frank J. Boyles, 92, a retired Lansdale stonemason, builder of the Lansdale Mausoleum and one of the builders of the Lansdale Train Station, died Tuesday evening in North Penn Hospital, Lansdale, where he had been a patient since Aug. 20.
Prior to that he was a guest at the Peter Becker Community , Harleysville, for two weeks.
He resided with his daughter Esther E. Boyles of Lansdale, for the past 32 years.
Born in North Wales he was the son of the late Joshua J. and Rebecca McMullen Boyles.
Mr. Boyles moved to Lansdale in 1927 from Louisville, Ky.
Mr. Boyles was a stonemason by trade, having apprenticed with his father. He traveled around the country building cemetery mausoleums and one of his first was the Lansdale Mausoleum. He also built many of the stone homes in the Lansdale area. He retired in 1954.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Grace E. Rittenhouse, in 1948.
Surviving in addition to his daughter Esther, is a daughter Joyce B., wife of William Fretz, of Collegeville; two sons, Peter R. of Ridley Park and William R., of Hatfield; five grandchildren and one great grandson.
Services will be held Friday morning. The Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home , Lansdale is in charge of arrangements.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services Friday August 31, at 11 a.m. from Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home, Derstine and Cannon aves., Lansdale. Intombment Fernwood Mausoleum, Delaware County. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday preceding the service 10 to 11. Should friends desire memorials in his name may be sent to the Lansdale Methodist church, 4th & Broad Sts., Lansdale.
