E. Earl Hess, 63, of Aur Ladies Acres Road, Six Mile Run, died Jan. 8, 2005, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born May 21, 1941, in Saxton, son of the late Thomas and Pauline (Wenrich) Hess. On May 26, 1966, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, he married Genevieve Reed. She survives him along with two children: Robert E. Hess and wife, Melissa (Brode) of Denver, Pa.; Julie M., wife of Richard Balliet Jr. of Six Mile Run; brothers and sisters: Alice Mae, wife of Tom Heffner of Yardley, Pa.; Dick Hess, and wife, Shirley of Bedford; five grandchildren: Hope, Erin and Olivia Hess and Ricky Earl and Sarah Balliet He was preceded in death by the following two brothers: Bud Hess and infant brother, Jack Hess. He was a graduate of Sexton-Liberty High School Class of 1959. He owned and operated Service Star Hardware in Saxton for 12 years.
