She attended Marinette Schools and worked in the Badger Defense Plant in Baraboo, Wisconsin during World War II. She moved to Hurley in 1945, where she was employed at the Ben Franklin Store.
She owned and operated the Club Chateau in Hurley and later operated Marge & Lefty's Tavern in Hurley. Mrs. Baron was an avid Bingo and card player and enjoyed knitting, reading and crocheting.
She married John {Jack} Fontecchio October 18, 1934 in Michigan. He was born October 23, 1909 and died February 1970 in Ironwood, Gogebic, MI. They had a daughter Mary born approximately 1928. They divorced in Gogebic, MI on December 15, 1944.
She later married Lawrence Trochim in 1949. He preceded her in death February 26, 1956 of Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington.
She then married Roy P. Baron on May 5, 1956. Mr. Baron preceded her in death on October 17, 1983.
Survivors include one daughter Mary (Leroy) Kapelka of Montreal, Wisconsin;
five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren;
three brothers: Lloyd Sebero and William Kinney, both of Porterfield, Wisconsin; Thomas Wondergem of Marinete, Wisconsin;
three sisters: Beth Godgluck of Milton, Wisconsin; June Gambucci of California and Jane Watson of Marinette, Wisconsin.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson; a great-granddaughter;
two brothers: Jack and Fred Sebero
and a sister Doris Nummer.
Services were held January 4, 1994 at the Engstrom Funeral Home in Hurley with Rev. Robert E. O'Connell officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hurley, Wisconsin.
