She was born on March 3, 1929 in Greenleaf, Wisconsin to William and Kathryn (Breunig) Broeren. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in Kaukauna, WI in 1947.
Eileen came to Portland, OR in 1953 with her sister Mary Ann.
On October 19, 1957 Eileen married Paul Edward Bedard of Portland. They moved to the Beaverton/Aloha area in 1960 where they raised their family.
Eileen was a homemaker and worked as a licensed tax consultant with Adamosky, Bedard, and Thomas for 28 years. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was also active with the American Legion Auxiliary Post 6. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent time travelling and camping with her husband Paul.
Eileen is survived by her husband of 56 years Paul Edward Bedard, and their children Pauline Bedard, Kenneth Bedard, Linda Bedard, and Robert Bedard. Eileen had 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include sisters Alice Broeren, and Kathy Sarconi, and brothers Paul Broeren, Tom Broeren, George Broeren, Bill Broeren and Ed Broeren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Aloha, OR, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. After a gathering in the Fellowship Hall, interment will take place at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.
