Mrs. Sophia Cartwright, aged 57, wife of Robert Cartwright,
residents of Fond du Lac, passed away at 8 o'clock this morning at the Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after an illness of a few weeks. Born in Sheboygan on November 18,, 1895, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Elizabeth Abitz. On January 4, 1919, her marriage to Robert Cartwright took place in Milwaukee, and the couple made their home in Sioux City, la., for a period of 24 years. They were former residents of this city and recently have made their home in Fond du Lac.
Possessing a friendly personality, Mrs. Cartwright had a wide circle of friends. Surviving her are her husband,
four sisters, Mrs. Ida Wagner, Mrs. Harry (Elsie) Kroos, Mrs. Eleanor Sinn and Valeska Abitz of Sheboygan, and three brothers, Herman and George Abitz of Sheboygan and William Abitz of Los Angeles, Calif. The time of services have tentatively been set for Saturday afternoon, with the exact time in Thursday's paper. Friends may call at Nickel's Funeral Home from 2:30 p. m. on Friday.
