Grace Copeland, 92, died Sept. 19, 2013, at her son's residence in Fowler. She was born July 28, 1921, near Greensburg, to John Curtis and Grace Marie (Smith) Beatty.

She was a lifetime Kiowa County resident. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Mullinville. On Aug. 17, 1942, she married John T. Copeland. He died Jan. 9, 1979.

Grace is survived by three sons, Ross and wife Sue of El Dorado, Tim and wife Sue of Fowler, and Allen and wife Lenia of Dodge City; two daughters, Roene Blankenship and husband Don of Carthage, Mo., and Naomi and husband Charles Prieb of Inman; a brother, Gene Beatty of Coldwater; two sisters, Iris Cole of Wichita and Geraldine Ponyer of Green Forrest, Ark.; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Carl Michael; a great-grandson, Jayce Dawson Copeland; and a great-granddaughter, Harley Lynn Copeland; four brothers, Red, Warren, Gerald and Jimmy Beatty; four sisters, Edith Black, Nettie Green, Ruth Keith and Ann Hollister.

Funeral Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at the Mullinville Church of Christ with Pastor Russell Scott officiating. Burial is at Hillcrest Cemetery, Mullinville.

The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Mullinville Church of Christ, in care of Minnis Mortuary, PO Box 516, Bucklin, KS 67834.
