Mary Ellen Hill, 97' of Columbus, IN died September 22, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital. In her early years, she did woodworking that she sold at flea markets. She was a member of Faith Chapel Church, enjoyed reading her bible, crocheting, Christian music and farming.
The funeral will be at noon Friday, September 27, 2013' at Norman Funeral Home in Hope IN with the Rev. David Bragg officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated through the funeral home to Faith Chapel Church.
Born December 21, 1915, in Oakwood, MO, Mary was the daughter of Cleveland and Maggie (Hearn) Miles. She married Jasper Head February 12, 1932, and then married Delmas "Doc" Hill December 17, 1960.
Survivors include her children, Jewell Taylor of Columbus, Donald (Bertha) Head of Greensburg, Margaret Cox of Junction City, Alaska, Roberta (Milton) Wallace of Cimarron, Kansas, and Lenora Dodd of Indianapolis; 22 grandchildren 44 great-great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Maggie (Hearn) Miles; her in-law, Larry Cox; three sisters; and three brothers.

Lenora Dodd sang the songs "Face to Face" and "Look for me at Jesus' feet."
Burial was at Garland Brook Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen, Gary, Susan, Jeff, Ronald, Kendall,and Steven Ping. Brain and Scott Kelsey and Anna Salsa. Honorary Pallbearers were Mark Kelsey, Bradley Cox, Melani Baltrum, Andrea Linderman and Jimmy Head.
