Thomas was living in Indian Head with his
parents when he was drafted into the US
Army.
Arriving in Vietnam 5 December 1967 Thomas
was assigned to E Battery,41st Artillery,41st
Artillery Group,I Field Force,USARV.
Thomas died as a result burns to the body
when the APC that he was a crew member of
hit a hostile mine and caught on fire,about
one kilometer south of Nui Loi Mountain on
Route 505.
