Mrs. Rudolph O. Stockinger Sr., 80, of 1205 Grand Ave., Manitowoc, died Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been taken earlier that day.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. D. L. Krembs officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

She was born Katherine M. Gagnon March 19, 1883, at Two Rivers, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Weiss Gagnon. She was married to Rudolph C. Stockinger Aug. 31, 1908, at Two Rivers. The family moved to Manitowoc. Prior to her marriage she had been employed at the Torrison Store, at Manitowoc. She was an honorary member of the Christian Mother Altar Society of her church. The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary Aug. 31, 1958.

Among survivors are her husband; a son, Rudolph R. Stockinger Jr., of Manitowoc; five daughters, Miss Lorretta, at home; Mrs. Thomas (Marian) Kerry, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Heise and Mrs. Arnold (Jean) McDonnell of Manitowoc and Mrs. Gerald (Ruth) Ward of Madison; four sisters, Miss Clara Gagnon, Mrs. Agnes Rau and Miss Delia Gagnon of Two Rivers and Mrs. Robert Wilkenson of Oconomowoc and 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited by the altar society, parish and friends at 7:30 p.m.

BALL PLYER TAKES BRIDE
"Rudy" Stockinger and Miss Catherine Gagnon Wed at Two Rivers


"Rudy" Stockinger, second basement of the local ball team and Miss Catherine Gagnon of Two Rivers, were united in marriage at an early morning ceremony at St. Luke's Catholic Church at Two Rivers Monday and the couple will return here after a honeymoon trip to make their home in the city.
The wedding was a surprise, it having been given out that it would not be celebrated until next month.
The bride has been a member of the O. Torrison Co., clerical force and is well known and popular in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Stockinger will reside at 901 Hamilton Street.

Yesterday morning at St. Luke's Church, Miss Katherine Gagnon was married to Mr. Rudolph Stockinger of Manitowoc. The ceremonies were performed by Rev. Joseph Stockinger of Nebraska, brother of the groom.
The wedding was a quiet one and only the relatives and immediate friends of the contracting parties were present. After the wedding breakfast which was served at the home of the bride, the happy couple departed on a wedding trip.
The bride is a daughter of ex-mayor Peter Gagnon and is one of the most popular and estimable young ladies of this city and the groom is a well known Manitowoc man and a favorite among the baseball fans of that city.
