Ira was the oldest of twelve children born to Bert Lee and Amy Jane (Cruse) McCrory. He married Alma B. Terry.

ROBINSON, Ill. - Ira C. McCrory, 88, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday at Crawford Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He retired as postmaster at Annapolis Post Office after 26 years.
He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and E.M. Coulter American Legion Post 69, and a 32nd degree Mason.
Surviving are two sisters, Gladys Nash of Greenup and Helen Williams of Covington, Ohio; four brothers, Joseph of West Union, Lee of Robinson, Roy of Annapolis and Ralph of Tuscola; and a companion, Jarvis Crum of Robinson.
His wife, Alma B. (Terry), died in 1990.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pulliam Funeral Home Robinson Chapel, with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Annapolis.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
