Funeral services for George E. Forster, 68, of the McKinley Hotel, who died Saturday night from injuries suffered when he was struck by a car earlier in the day, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Spiker funeral home.
The Rev. Dennis W. Foreman will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours at the parlors are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Forster was born in Germany and had resided in Canton since childhood. In 1958 he retired from Hercules Motors Corp., where he had been employed 35 years as a machinist.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Forster was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical United Brethren Church, Canton Post of the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge.
A brother, William C. Forster of Canton, survives. His wife, Oleta, died in March, 1958.
