In these 2 joined lots rest the families of Rev. John M Macauley and his father, Rev. Thomas McAuley (per the spellings on the monument), as well as several Magoffin and Schermerhorn in-laws and their relatives. The names “Johnnie Macauley” and “Eliza Wilson” appear on the monument, but not in the cemetery’s online burial database. This could be due to an error in the database, or to circumstances in which the departed are memorialized on the family monument, but rest elsewhere. This photo of the lot is taken from the front.
INSCRIPTIONS
The massive central monument is inscribed on both sides, and stands between two rows of initialed footstones representing every name inscribed in full on the larger structure.
