Abram and his brother Moses served in the Revolutionary War, enlisting from Berkeley County, VA. Abram was with the Virginia men under Colonel William Campbell at the Battle of Kings Mountain. Many historians consider this battle to be the turning point of the Revolutionary War and one of its most important events.
