Musician. Born Janice Lynn Kuehnemund, she formed the all-girl glam metal band Vixen in 1980 when she was still in high school. She and singer Janet Gardner moved the band to Los Angeles in 1985 and within two years the band was signed to EMI. In 1988, they released their platinum selling self-titled album 'Vixen' which spawned two smash hit singles with 'Edge of a Broken Heart' and 'Cryin'. The band would go on to release two more studio albums, 'Rev It Up' (1990) and 'Live & Learn' (2006) as well as two live albums. Kuehnemund, who appeared in the film, 'The Decline of Western Civilization II: The Metal Years', died after a lengthy battle with cancer. (bio by: Louis M.)
