Boise--Services for Ruth Lucille Smith,78, of 302 East Forty-third who died Monday following a long illness at her home, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel by Don Baldwin, Followers of Christ Church. Interment will be in Knowlton Heights Cemetery, Marsing, at 2:30 p.m.

She was born April 13, 1898, in Picabo, where she began school. She lived for a time on Orogande, but returned to Picabo where she finished school. She married Marion R. Smith, Sept 15,1915 in Hailey. She lived in Picabo until moving to the Boise Valley in 1929. She lived in Meridian, Nampa, Star and Kuna before moving to Boise. She was a member of the Followers of Christ Church. Mr. Smith died in March 1957.

Surviving are three sons, Duane of Boise, Buford of Caldwell, and Eldon of Escondido, California;four daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Conly, Oregon City, Oregon, Mrs. Alice Ange of McCall, Shirley Nedbalek of Caldwell, and Bertha Hartley of Boise; two sister; Mrs. Elsie Georke, California, and Mrs. Hazel Johns of Daly City, California; a brother George Freeman,Eagle: 35 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. She was proceded in death by two sons, Marion Roy and Schyler Edward Smith and a daughter Hazel Lois Smith.

Pallbearers will be Paul Freeman, Butch Freeman, George Freeman Jr., David Carlin, Harold Finney, Gilbert Blackmer and Joe Price.
