Alonzo A. Embree, who resided on Hudson Street, died yesterday at the Homeopathic Hospital, following an operation. Mr. Embree was born at Grey Oaks 77 years ago and was a member of one of the oldest families in Yonkers. In early life he was a farmer, working for and succeeding his father, James Embree. In later years Mr. Embree became a collector, which occupation he followed until his retirement. He is survived by two sisters, Miss Alma Embree and Mrs, Anna E. Cronk of Lawton Street. He Is also a cousin of Ethelbert Embree, deputy city treasurer. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon from the parlors of Bell and Clapp.
