WELLS, JAMES ROLAND Passed away 10/18/06 at the age of 73 from complications of surgery. Born 1/30/33 in South Gate, California. Jim was a general contractor for 48 years and owner of Sunwood Construction Corp in Moreno Valley. He was active in many political and community organizations throughout his lifetime. Jim was a licensed pilot and loved to fly. He was also a dirt-bike enthusiast and was a board member of the American Motorcycle Association for several years. Jim was one of the founders of Cal West National Bank in Moreno Valley. Jim graduated from Lynnwood Academy and attended La Sierra University. Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his son, Steven Jay Wells, and his brother Dr. Charles Newman Wells. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Martha Wells, his sister Sharon Ann Martin and brother-in-law Dr. Lin Martin, his three daughters, Dr. Denise Ann Wells, Diane Virginia Drake and Susan Kay Ruzzamenti, his sons James Dennis Wells and Dennis Jerry Wells, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Hillside Chapel at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier on Tuesday, October 24th at 11:00AM.
