DEATH NOTICE: Tribune, Mineral Point, WI, Thur., Dec. 20, 1917, (p.1): Died in Brooklyn, N.Y. - Mrs. T.S. Ansley,, mother of Mrs. W.A. Jones of this city, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.C. Hanus, in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Friday afternoon, Dec. 14, and her body arrived h ere Monday evening. Burial services took place Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Jones; interment by the side of her husband in Graceland cemetery.
Mrs. Ansley was 86 years of age. She was a long time resident of Mineral Point previous to thirty or more years , when she and Mr. Ansley left here and established a home in Englewood, Ill. After his death, which occurred some years ago, Mrs. Ansley made her home with Mrs. Hanus in the east, but made prolonged visits to th is city nearly every summer from that time on. She was a refined genteel lady and those who knew her best appreciated her most. [Susie].
*Interestingly her father Andrew Ansley was a half-brother to Sophia Johnson who married Cornelius Vanderbilt.
