The daughter of Sutton Polk Tassey and Josie Higdon Tassey was born in Cannon Co. Tn. in 1874. She married David Butterbaugh Mar 26, 1896 in Cannon Co. Tn. They moved to Missouri in 1900. They had 4 children, a daughter in 1901 who died,Robert who died at age 11(found dead beside railway in Aurora,Missouri), Frank and Clyde Butterbaugh. David died in 1905 after a construction accident. She married R. F. Berry in 1908. She then married R.F. Nanney, whom she divorced. (R.F. Nanney and R.F. Berry were same person, Berry's real name was Nanney).)
She married Henry Marshall Lamasters in Nashville. Tn. in SEPT. 23, 1921 and lived in Detroit, Michigan. Her husband. H.M. LaMasters died in 1932. She returned to 713 Joseph Avenue in. Nashville. Tn. where she died at age 75 yrs, 3 months, and 28 days. She was survived by sons, Frank and Clyde, sister Laura Tassey Hearn of Nashville, Tn. and 5 Reynolds Nieces and Nephews in Texas (children of William Riley Reynolds). A nephew, William Reynolds and niece Jean Ann Reynolds of Georgia(the children of Marvin And Agnes Reynolds). Her father Sutton P. Tassey remarried in 1905 to Susan Ledbetter Tassey and they had three children Grace C,Tassey, Jennie Mai Tassey and one Son Sutton Houston Tassey. She was preceded in death by 2 children, infant daughter, and son, Robert H.
