LYLE -- The funeral for Verlin P. Greiner will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with Dr. Joe Elam officiating. Burial will be in Woodbury Cemetery in Lyle with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 91.
Mr. Greiner, 75, of Pauls Valley, Okla., formerly of Lyle, died Tuesday (July 9, 1996) at Colonial Nursing Home in Pauls Valley.
He was born June 4, 1921, in Floris, Iowa. On Sept. 5, 1978, he married Valera Ulrey in Taos, N.M. She survives.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and an hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
