Noel Harrison
Birth: Jan. 29, 1934
London
Greater London, England
Death: Oct. 19, 2013
Devon, England

Olympian, Musician, Actor. Noel, who was the son of the British actor Rex Harrison and his first wife Collette Thomas, will perhaps best be remembered for recording the Academy Award-winning song, "The Windmills of Your Mind" for the 1968 film, "The Thomas Crown Affair" which starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. As a teen, he attended acting classes at the Ipswich Theatre while at the same time showing great promise in playing guitar, however his main interest was sports. He was a member of the British skiing national team and was champion in the giant slalom, thus allowing him to become a member of the UK Olympic teams that participated in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, Norway and at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. In the late 1950s, he was about to embark on a career in journalism when he decided to stick with his guitar playing. His future as a musician was solidified when he participated in the BBC Television show "Tonight", as a member of the house band. In the 1960s, he appeared alongside Stefanie Powers in the television series "The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.", in the role of secret agent Mark Slate. Harrison died of natural causes. (bio by: Ruggero)

When I was a teenager I met you after a play, and we chatted about your farm and animals, thank you for being so kind and I shall never forget how you looked this awkward teenager straight in the eyes whilst autographing my programme.

Noel, thank you for being in my life when I was growing up. You were a good actor and great singer and the world is missing you.
