Katharine "Kitty" Snyder Hunsaker, 61, of 273 Shady Oak Drive, Roxboro, North Carolina, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Hunsaker was born in Marion County, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Burl and Edna Clelland Snyder.

She was a homemaker and a member of Triple Springs Baptist Church. She had formerly been a member of the Eldora United Methodist Church before relocating to North Carolina. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Fairmont, W.Va., for many years.

Her husband, Howard C. "Bud" Hunsaker Jr., survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Burl "J.B." Hunsaker of Roxboro, North Carolina, and Howard Christopher "Chris" Hunsaker of Grottoes; a brother, Jimmy Snyder of Farmington, W.Va.; a sister, Judy Kuhr, of Fairmont, W.Va., and two step-grandchildren.

The Rev. Buddy Hall will conduct the funeral 10 a.m. today at the Brooks and White Chapel. The Rev. Orville Wright will conduct a graveside funeral 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bridgeport Cemetery in Fairmont, West Virginia.

The family received friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Brooks and White Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Ford Funeral Home in Fairmont, West Virginia.
